PTSD Specific Treatment

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental disorder that can develop after a person is exposed to a traumatic event, such as sexual assault, warfare, traffic collisions, or other threats on a person’s life.

The GDOT team has expertise working with military personnel, veterans and those suffering PTSD as a result of a motor vehicle accident, cycling accident or other traumatic events.

PGAP By PGAP Certified

PGAP (Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) by PGAP certified therapists). A 10 week evidence-based treatment program for reducing disability associated with pain, depression, cancer and other chronic health conditions.

Exposure Therapy

Exposure therapy is a technique used in Cognitive Behavior Therapy that involves patient exposure to a feared object or perceived dangerous situation in order to overcome a specific anxiety. The OT can work with the psychologist and/or counsellor in providing onsite exposure to the feared place or situation.
