Goal Directed Occupational Therapy Inc. was founded in 2014. It was identified that there was a need for specialized community care for injured individuals or those experiencing a serious illness.

Carol Talley received her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of British Columbia and is a registered Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in the province of British Columbia. Her expertise in both of these areas of practice as well as her extensive continuing education in life-care planning, pain management, work place solutions and mental health enables her to approach recovery in a unique and comprehensive manner that is invaluable to the clients she serves. Carol Talley is an experienced presenter and Clinical Instructor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. In her leisure time, she is an avid golfer.
Lauren Talley received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria followed by her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta. She is a registered Occupational Therapist in the province of British Columbia.
Lauren is passionate about using evidenced-based interventions and creativity to enable clients to reach their goals. Her background in physical rehabilitation in combination with mental health in Canada’s northern and remote regions provides her with a holistic approach to recovery. She has travelled throughout Canada visiting mental health facilities, including specialized post-traumatic stress disorder programs. She specializes in return to work planning, recovery from multi-traumas, traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder and mental health recovery. When Lauren is not working, she is training her puppy to become a certified therapy dog.
